Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has faced the sohanad.as virus.

I was unable to find any detailed information regarding this. Only that its an Internet worm and that it spreads through messengers and network.
I was unable to remove or detect it using norton and mcafee. But on dong scan in safemode using Kaspersky i was able to remove it. Then i had to enable registry and enable taskmanager and folder options from registry.

Does anyone know of any other antivirus or other methods or removal or protection or details regarding this virus. Because in some computers, scanning with Kaspersky has been impossible, as it never finishes, even after letting it scan for 2days continuous

Thanks,
Biky

Hi,
sorry but forgot to mention that it creates scvvhsot.exe in system32 folder and loads it during startup and can be viewed if task manager is enableed. It disables taskmanager and registry. i think it also hides folder option and disables cmd. It also creates folder icons with .exe extionsions.

(IM worm.win32 Sohanad.as)

thanks
Biky
