I am trying to help my brother out in removing some bad spyware from his computer, but every time I attempt to run Spybot or AVG Anti-Spyware the scan gets so far in then restarts, if I disable restart of system failure it just BSOD, have tried loads of times in safe mode but it seems like it is still loading its self.
Spybot picks up Smitfraud-C so I have ran the SmitFraud fix, that removed the icon from the system tray (icon telling me that I have spyware and once clicked it tries to connect to a website) but I am still unable to do a proper scan.
Also picked up was, SpyLocked, SmitFraud-C, SmitFraud-C.GP, WIN32.BHO.je and Zlob.Downloader.VDT
Can any one please assist in removing theses spyware please?
Cheers.

Please download and install the latest version of HijackThis v2.0.2:
Download the "HijackThis" Installer from this link:
Hijack This
1. Save " HJTInstall.exe" to your desktop.
2. Double click on HJTInstall.exe to run the program.
3. By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.
4. Accept the license agreement by clicking the "I Accept" button.
5.Click on the "Do a system scan and save a log file" button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
6. Click "Save log" to save the log file and then the log will open in Notepad.
7. Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
8. Paste the log in your next reply.
9. Do NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet! Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required. Please download SmitFraudFix from this link:
Then extract the contents to your desktop.
!!!! Only run option #1 as runing the other options on an uninfected computer will damage the desktop.!!!!Open the "SmitfraudFix" folder and double-click "smitfraudfix.cmd"
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Go to the this link:
Follow their directions to disable any realtime protection that you have as it will interfere with the fix by reinstalling the corrupt files. Spybot's teatimer must be turned off.
Open SmitfraudFix, and choose Option 4 to check for updates and download any updates. Then exit SmitfraudFix.
Now, reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
Restart your computer.
After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
Choose your usual account.
Once in Safe Mode, open the SmitfraudFix folder again and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files. You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.
The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".
The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart anyway into normal Windows. A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply along with a new HijackThis log.
The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txtWarning : running option #2 on a non infected computer will remove your Desktop background.
Please download HostsXpert from the following link:
Extract the HostsXpert.zip by doing the following:Right-click HostsXpert.zip and select extract all – Follow the wizard and extract it to your DesktopClick Finish. Double-click the HostsXpert folder and then double-click HostsXpert.exe. Click “ Restore MS Hosts File” and press OK.Exit the program.
Note: if you were using a custom Hosts file you will need to replace any of those entries yourself.
Please download ComboFix to the desktop from one of the following links:
Link 3
Double-click combofix.exe
Follow the prompts.
(Don't click on the window while the program is running, it may cause your system to hang.)
Please post the log it produces.
