Hello,
My wife received a "birthday card" from a friend in an email and now we have mywebsearch.com Myspark interactive network attached to our mozilla firefox and it is really messing with internet usage. It first said it was Smiley Central. I ran spybot search and destroy and hijackthis. The Spybot found the stuff and isolated/deleted it, but it is still attached to firefox.
I have fooled around for hours trying to remove it, but no success yet. Help please!

try these in this order:
1- Ccleaner Slim- remove all it finds
2- Malwarebytes - update it and remove all it finds.
3- lastly, download Avast free and allow it to do a bootscan on reboot.
The above should work, as Avast also picks up rootkits as well as other infections. Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers

I followed your suggestions in order. It did speed up my computer, but it did not remove the MyWebSearch from my Mozilla. Any further suggestions for removing MyWebSearch would be greatly appreciated.

If Myweb search is under add remove programs, try removing it. Ccleaner has an option to remove programs.
Or, try uninstalling firefox, then re-install.
