Hi all. My zapro has become a little annoying all of a sudden. It asks me every time for things like internet explorer if I want it to access the internet even though I have checked the box stating 'remember this the next time'. I have went into the program log bit and clicked ticks there but still everytime I launch the browser (or start anything else) it again asks for permission. Is there any quick fix for this little but annoying problem??

Sometimes with Zone Alarm the quick fix is to uninstall and reinstall using the new settings options. Your registation will still be listed, you just go through and carefully set everything the way you want it again. Take care!

hi lisa,
there are alot of problematic issues with the new version of Zap Pro.
if you are going to uninstall zap pro make sure you disable the true vector first then uninstall and follow the info that zap pro has for uninstalling that is you must uninstall all zap pro files in windows including your internet logs etc. also uninstall all zap pro keys in the registry.
re-install as per the info that the capt. gave you in the previous message.
if you want to install another firewall Kerio is the one to go with. its small footprint that is its size wont take too much space on your machine, the only thing is that you will have to learn how to set the rules. for more info go to www.thepublicworks.com security section click on the firewall.net link for info on how to install and configure Kerio. for rules and their creation click on DSL forums then Kerio/Tiny Support link for some great info on how to set up the rules.
all the best and cheers,
murve

Hi Shadow,
There is no problem heard by people using Kerio because there is much fewer people that use Kerio. And those people that use Kerio is not a beginner so that they know what they are doing. On other hand, people that use ZA is most of them a beginner and some of them even dont know how to install or unistall app properly.
Have a nice weekend, buddy ;))

Hey Murve, thanks for signing my site too ;))

Sanjaya:
I think that Kerio is better than Zonealarm,
I just switch last week and what a difference.
Sanjaya have you tried Kerio yet? You Try it
and see for yourself. Kerio is made by Tiny
and is also a great firewall. I think that you will find that there are alot more people using
Kerio than YOU think...

Hi Murve, hi Cal,

Yep, i know Kerio. I have tried it since it was Tiny Personal Firewall.
Yes, it is powerful and good. It is flexible. It is as good as if not better than Norton FireWall.
Please dont understand me falsely. What I meant is that you should consider the knowledge of the user or asker. If she is a novice who uses Computer just for surfing, typing and chatting than she wouldnt or doesnt have mood to know what TCP is, what UDP is, what ICMP is, what port numbers are etc, etc.
Have a nice day, buddies. Good night *)

Hi Everybuddy,
I have a friend who does not even know how to put water in her car's radiator ! She would have to not drive that car until she sees her brother, or going to the gas station and tipped someone a dollars to do it for here ! I think it will be best to try our best to promote 'puters users to get to be just a bit technical. Because we need it, not that it were any fancy thinking anymore, lets face reality, computer works is not a toy anymore, we should get serious about it a bit, then everything will be alright.

Sorry to bud in like this everybuddy, but I BUD in because I try to be your BUDdy :-)

Harry is out, Ciao !
