hey its been bugging me a for a while. my laptop and my sister's laptop do great on the wireless linksys router. but my other desktop randomly does. at times when i reset the router, the desktop (2.0 ghz, 512, xp pro, no spyware.adware) wireless netgear pci card picks up a "excellent" signal from router but yet still the internet is crazy slow. rarely does it show the speed of internet browsing compared to wired/wireless on the other computers. This case is similar to games on the desktop, unable to join servers with 999 pings. if i left information about the problem out, please inform me. i have already tried reseating the pci wireless card also.

so now i'm out of ideas, and looking at hardware problems. unless there is linksys tweaks in the firmware section? would buying a speedbooster or somekind help the problem anyway? anything.
