Hi,

My computer has gradually got slower and slower over the past 6 months and now, even though I use Firefox to browse the net, I get Internet Explorer popups, 40 to 50 at a time.

I use avast, spybot, ad-aware.

If someone is willing to help I will post a HJT log??

Thanks in advance.

Just for information I have rationalised the processes in my task manager as far as I can using www.answerthatwork.com but it seems to have slowed the system down further.

I have noticed that in my process list I have two instances of iexplorer.exe. As I said in my first post I don't use internet explorer I use firefox. I have tried ending both instances but they instantly re-appear again.

Any help would be much appreciated.
