Essentially, at one point I did have the Vundo Trojan. After trying to find different fixers, i found one (VundoFix) that did work.

I no longer get the pop-ups associated with it, but my internet is still just as slow as before. I am not sure whether or not it is just the remainants of the virus or my firefox is stupid. My firefox freezes and stops loading sites like facebook, and certain other websites only half load. They start loading, and some images or other parts just don't load. Firefox says i is still trying to load it, but it just stops and won;t load.

Another problem is that youtube, when i try to watch a video, shows the LOADING screen for at least 5 minutes before showing any video. This only started after the virus.

I will post the hijackthis log in a later post (like after this one).

Please, does someone know what is happening or has this happened to you?

I have looked at all the firefox help forums where this has happened to other people, but it also sortof happens to be in IE7 too....(i hate IE7)...so... any help is appreciated.

If you want to post HJT log then wait until it is requested on here, then post it on this thread. Unsolicited HJT logs get zapped.

I'm just wondering if the HJT warning is not coming up anymore. I hardly post HJT logs but I thought that the warning was still coming up when someone tried to post a log.

Killick, are you saying you never got the warning when trying to post your log?

I think that is one of the forum rules. It just keeps people from flooding the forum with unanswered HJT posts. Hope that Helps.

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

well, something happened and the log and subsequent posts dissappeared, but no, i posted the log right after, then someone said that my post will probably be deleted since i didn't follow the rules.

anyway....does anyone have any ideas as to what might be wrong? (Back on topic)

Are you still using 2 firewalls? If so, that would really slow you down and also you still had parts of Norton on your PC, so that would also cause problems with another AV, you have to use the Norton uninstaller to get rid of all the Norton fragments left on your PC.

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

apparently your AV also has a firewall (probably a combo) so I would unload that or ZA, whichever. You can paste your log into http://hijackthis.de/
and you will see what I mean.

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks

try turning off ZA because you have the other firewall running, and also make sure your windows XP firewall is turned off. See if that helps.

So, if I remember correctly, your AV has firewall, it was Kaspersky, am I correct? Then if all is running fine you should be ok. Even though I don't read HJT posts too much, I did notice that as your only major problem when I entered yours in hijackthis.de that you had 2 firewalls running at the same time.

Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back with your results....thanks
