Specs: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium, 2.2 GHz / 6142 MB
Manufacturer: Hp-pavilion
Model: Np200aa-aba a6720y
OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium
CPU/Ram: 2.2 GHz / 6142 MB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS
Sound Card: Realtek High Definition Audio

These are my specs. Last night, my computer was working fine. This morning it isn't. I downloaded Torrent before I went to bed and since the computer is so slow, I uninstalled it.

It isn't that the computer is slow in all applications, but it seems to time out over 60% of the time when connected to the internet, even in igoogle (my home page). This is driving me NUTS.

I'd like to run hijack this and other programs similar, but I can't find the proper instructions to do so. I did run Spybot Search & Destroy and nothing came up.

It seems that your computer is running somewhat slow for it's specifications.

The best way to go about this is install an antivirus (I reccomend Avast, but any as long as the definitions are up to date) and perform a full system scan.

If that picks up nothing then the next thing to do is remove any uneeded programes (uninstall), do a disk cleanup (I reccomend ccleaner, you can also clean up the registry) and then do a disk defrag

Edit: Fixing some spelling mistakes
