Slick Virus

I have a PC that is infected with the VBS.Folder and the VBS.LoveLetter.Var viruses and they are both located in a file called WIN386.SWP. I downloaded the fix for the latter virus above from symantec but the fix came with a program that first detected if the virus was there and it said that it was not infected, but I know that it is! I don't get it! I also tried to look for the infected file but I could not find that file either. Any insights into this would help.

Have you looked in the Norton Quarintine folder to see if the viruses might be there, if so they would be isolated from the rest of your computer.
