Does anyone know what happened to the Shield's Up port scan site at the Gibson Research website? I've been trying to run a scan for three days straight....can't pull it up.
Anyone know anything?

"Your system has achieved a perfect "TruStealth" rating. Not a single packet — solicited or otherwise — was received from your system as a result of our security probing tests.
Your system ignored and refused to reply to repeated Pings (ICMP Echo Requests). From the standpoint of the passing probes of any hacker, this machine does not exist on the Internet.
Some questionable personal security systems expose their users by attempting to "counter-probe the prober", thus revealing themselves. But your system wisely remained silent in every way. Very nice.
"Worked for me - all 1056 ports (stealthed) passed!

Thanks Abnormal.... I passed them all except that cookie & referral one. Other than that, all was stealthed up pretty good...

Thanks Sabertooth... Darn, that always happens to me, lol.. I was typing at precisely the same time as you, bud..
I actually used that PC Flank scanner quite some time ago, but I forgot about it.... middle ages comin' here too fast, lol !!!

My problem port 1053 fixed, created a rule
with Outpost Pro.Shields Up is a secure site, are you having
problems with other secure sites?

Good morn' .... I have no idea, lol.. I tried to run a scan but every time I clicked the proper Shields Up icon directly from the Gibson Research page, it would lead me to a white blank page... Tried it for three days...
Now this morning I tried again and I finally reached the scanner page without any problem; strange... Scan ran and all is stealthed.
I did perform a fresh reinstall of XP home here; not because of any problem, but a "once a year housecleaning". Maybe I have some setting within Internet Explorer set to a high security level... I'll look into that today.
Take care guys; have a wonderful holiday season. Santa should reward you for all the help and expertise you give to folks like me, lol.. I'm a slow leaner.
If I see the jolly ole' guy in the mall, I'm gonna put in a good word for you guys...ho, ho, ho..

Good to hear its working now, on rare
occasions computers fix themselves.Stay safe and happy holidays.

I rely on dedicated firewall mechanisms (hardware & software) & not so much on the AV for such tasks.
I still use the older 5.0.153 version of KAV Personal & I don't believe I have a setting for that, however the illustated links below are from (5.0.227) later version & they do address your question.
