Comment:

Pressing any key on my keyboard causes the computer to freeze... the keyboard works fine on another computer. I couldnt trace any virus so assumed a keyboard driver had been corrupted so tried to repair XP... all goes well until it asks for my CD key, when I try and enter.. you guessed it the computer freezes! So Im stuck in the process of how do I enter the key without a keyboard... any help would be appreciated!
Regards

Have you tried going in to safe mode to see if the keyboard works?
If it works in safe mode, then you may want to do more virus scans

Sounds like may be a failing hard drive if the above doesn't work, you may want to slave it to another PC and save all your valuable files.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
