Comment:

after going to a site (gbxemu.com in the romshare section) ive gotten a ton of viruses. I didnt even download anything

now, i cant boot into regular mode. it just restarts by itself so only safe mode works. I cant even run some exe files such as avast, hijack this, cwshredder...and i cant even do online virus scanners. They seem to have blocked virus protection software sites..as kaspersky, tread online does not work. The only that i have gotten to work was adaware but i updated and ran a full scan yet it hasnt helped.

in need of help

After you run stinger try renaming Hijack This and see if it will run. Go to start>search>all files and folders>beneath "all or part of filename:" type "hijackthis.exe" without the quotes>search>right click on it>rename>rename it hijack.exe>click a blank spot on the screen.

Post a hijack this log.

Download Hoster3.1 from this link http://www.funkytoad.com/hoster.htm to your desktop.Once installed click the "restore microsofts orininal host file" and nothing else.

Now try running the online scan from kaspersky.
