I have a major virus on my computer named "Security Tool" that pops up on startup with all these false reports of viruses. In addition to this I have random popups on Firefox and to top it all off malwarebytes won't run because I get the .exe file not found, even after reinstalling mbam. Where should I go from here? Thank you!

Boot PC in safe mode and remove all files and folder related to Security Tool. Then restart your computer and try to run malwarebytes again. Detailed list of Security Tool files:

Also you may use another anti-spyware tool not only Malwarebytes. Try Spyware Doctor too.

i successfully removed security tool after hours of experimenting it was linked to divx files after i deleted all divx files it was gone when i tried to reinstall divx later it tried to reinstall security tool leading me to believe either a. they are doing it on purpose at divx or b. some rouge programmer at divx is mad at something and doing this either way i can live without divx but they are scumbags inventive program however it shuts down the computer every 25 minutes to prevent running removal programs and annoys you every 2 minutes with fake warnings manuel removal is the best and easiest. thank you.
