Earlier tonight I couldn't get on the page www.aol.com and it was fine all day before that. It said the service you are trying to reach is temporarily unavailable please try your request again. I figured the page was down which is unusual but something seemed odd about the way it was trying to load.
Upon further inspection I see a gold lock next to the address when I type it in and on the left is a red key and when I click the lock it says website identification geo trust has identified my.screenname.aol.com this connection to the server is encrypted.
How did this happen as I have touched nothing? I am running Norton internet security and didn't do anything in there. Also have windows defender on. I did run spybot earlier today and cleaned up a few things and now I notice next to the clock the spybot SD resident icon and it was not there before.
Son has laptop with vista and I ran spybot on that today and he also has the spybot sd icon but the page aol.com loads fine on his computer.
Windows mail is working to retrieve my aol mail fine I just can't get on aol.com because of this lock and need to know how I can fix this. Mary
