Since this afternoon I keep getting the security certificate screen popping up randomly on sites and it says certificate may be expired or not valid and it points to paypal every time. Have never had this before, what is causing it and what should I do? I do use paypal to pay for e-bay auctions. Mary

I saw that page and tried that but MS won't let me update anything. Says my clock is out of sync and when I try the three stepts listed to fix the clock they won't work. I just realzied this computer does not have SP2 on it, is that why? I went to the veri sgin site but am confused on how to get the certificate? Why was the root certificate good a few days ago and then all of a sudden not?

I did google and read about this issue with paypal it it's not new so I am wondering whey it's just now happening to me? Mary

Why not upgrade to SP2? Also, are you running IE6 or IE7? If you have IE6, I would up-grade to IE7.
Just make sure your PC is not infested with spyware before up-grading.

When SP2 came out and there was all the hype about problems I was waiting and then I guess I forgot about it and never did it. I can't get it from MS update because it says my clock is out of sync and the fixes listed for the clock won't work. I see you can get SP2 from outside the MS site so will do that. I think I had a disk at one time but can't find it.

Still getting the security certificate popping up all the time pointing to paypal and don't understand why it started doing that yesterday.

Also I have a new HP officejet pro 7780 all in one that has been fine for 3 weeks and then yesterday when I got home and went to print something it wouldn't work. When I turned it on I got the found new hardware wizard like it had just been installed and it said it was not installed correctly. I took all the software out and started from scratch and still wouldn't print but going back in time to the day before got it working.

Also my floppy light is coming on all the time trying to access something so I have no clue what is going on as I usually have no problems on here. Ran spyware scans and found maybe 5 things and that's it. Ran AVG and found nothing so I think I am good there. Mary

Try the other free spyware progs listed on the red link as well as run Superantispy:
http://www.superantispyware.com/dow...
Then do a free online scan:

and remove all it finds
