not new to the net, but new in what concerns to computers security, until know just used net to chat , getting music, and not much more things . So i used p2p programs for a long time..
know , that im realizing the treths that exist for having a not concern comportament, iīm reading and try to find out more about software and security of my pc, im also a.. a little amazed in what happening in the p2p world... "RIAA to Prosecute End Users" ( in some news...) ..remember reading they would have the law by their side if they want to go and disconect users that are using software and musiv , and films, whithout paying... thay are trethning to enter in personals pcīs and shuting them off the net..( ..but there are millions)....
and ..until know..just use p2p for music..but since im reading about security stuff, i find out that in the p2p programs , almost of the PRO versions of the good software are there and for free, ..
so ..people stiil pay ..knoyng that could have it for free?, and the owners of this software arenīt concern?.., what it will happening ? the threts are for real ? and is the end of the Free net for everyone?...and we must start getting them serious ?, and the people that make this wonderfull software ..haveīnt they got ways of knowing if you are using there " work" whitout authorization.... I think they got ..and in years it will be the end of crasher , hackers( maybe not this oneīs) but i īm really feeling that the Net its changing.....

I though the silougy sucked .Go buy the CD . When you live in the sticks it takes to dam long to download patches and updates much less any p2p crap. If you have broadband well I remember when the cassete came out and it was going to kill the music industry. Well what has happened is all the good music was made 25-35 years ago and everyone has what they want already. I mean how many people are going to go and buy the latest brittiny spears crap a few tenny boppers and that is it.You have a few like Cheryl Crowe and that is it the rest suck so when they start to make good music again then people will start to buy albums(CDs) again

I reckon P2P and the like will take over the music industry in terms of actually going to the local music store and buying the CD, when all you have to do is download and burn. With a fair printer, you can even do the cover yourself. I'm not for this at all though. In my crystal ball of cynicism, I see millions of dumbfounded kiddies wondering why people no longer make music for them to download... Any clues? ;)

is thta wath it wiill happening...so great..people keep downloading..and download a lot... to see if that f.... so called artists that are just in music beacause of fame and MONEY dissapear..cus im tired off all the music industry and what have became in last 10 years...

Dummies are all this SHi.. ARTists that ( brytnies, mansons, eminem, all the really beaty little girls that someone said that they can sing)..yeah download them a lot to
to finish whit him......

cus the real ones.. wonīt dissapear, they do music for pleasure, as a away of life , for the soul, and they will always keep playing , even if its on local bars, or streets..whatever,,

Maybe the point you focus ( Psyda) , that maybe, will be a solution to get rid of them all . !

I'm agreeing with you Skyhigh. The music industry has become a polyester, manufactured, commercial enterprise designed to make the rich richer and teenyboppers famous for 15 minutes. However, you said the real artists play music as a way of life. How can you make a living if no one is buying the music? It's a sad state of affairs for the true artists. The true artists being those who actually write their own lyrics, play their own instruments and make their own money. I say, down with pop music and synthetic "artists". I say, down with Britney and other plastic showgirls promoting promiscuity to prepubescent children.

But hey, who'd listen?

TRUE! TRUE!
P2P will survive, the new law that Congress Berman is trying to introduce is the stupidest thing i have heard. Is he trying to start a cyber war? Yea, that will help the networks and the internet. not like attacks don't take bandwith; oh wait, they do! hehe.. we thought spam slowed down networks, imagine constant DoS attacks on p2p networks.. Plus, do these people have any idea on how to even turn a computer on? My belief is i use P2P and yes, i download software which i do not own.. BUT, i don't sell it.. i don't bootleg it, i am not a pirate, i am an archiver... i like to download software, play with it, use it if i like it (never use it for commercial use, gotta go legit with that stuff), if not archive it on my 100gig harddrive or my DVD burner! i PAID for my DSL connection, my 100 GIG harrdrive, my DVD BURNER.. maybe the industry should think of a way to restructure so they get a small percentage of profit from DSL/Cable Modem service providers or harddrive companies... What software companies are doing is creating a hierarchal system of power, based on wealth.. if you can't buy the program, you can't you use it, you can't learn to use it, you then must rely on someone who did buy it or used it... sad.. for example, 3D studio max.... $4,000?? Like i am going to be making a 3D based game, just fun to mess with...
sorry about the ranting.. just f#@#$in sick of the music industry and hollywood whining... Why is it that the people who have no idea on what is really going on or no idea what P2P really is are making the laws? plus, the people that violate/share/download/pirate music and programs are not your everyday joe.. we are geeks, most people wouldn't even know how to open up the howto .nfo file or how to install it or get the crack to work and most don't even know how to setup their email with outlook express.. nough said..
peace
