I keep getting a security alert saying that my Virus Protection is out of date from symantec. No matter how many options i change it won't go away!. once i close it , it appears again after a couple of seconds My anti virus is out of date, but this message never came before!! How can i stop it without paying to update my virus protection? Can anyone help? Thanks

Ummmm... Mostly you would just download the latest version (But this isn't for everyone apparently)...
If they are trying to make you pay for a new version just get AVG instead... it's free @ www.grisoft.com
And the reason you probably never saw it before is because your virus protection was not out of date.
