Solved search engines load wrong sites

May 30, 2011 at 08:42:56
Specs: Windows XP
Most of the time any and all of my search engines will load an incorrect site rather than the one identified via the search. Problem exist with Goodle, Bing, and Yahoo. Problem exists on Firefox and IE browsers. Problem happens maybe 70% of the time and started a couple of days ago. I have run Norton, My Faster PC and Advanced Registry Organizer scans. Each scan finds errors which are fixed.

My Faster PC and Advanced Registry Organize
Those 2 are probably full of spyware. I would suggest uninstalling them.

Then run malwarebytes in safe mode doing a full scan and fix all it finds and reboot.

If the problem is still there, then run these 3 progs in the EXACT order listed
1- rkill.exe (kills the malware process)
2- TDSS killer (helps to remove any unwanted rootkits)
3- Malwarebytes (run a full scan again and fix all it finds)
Then then reboot

Some HELP in posting on plus free progs and instructions Cheers
