Search Engine Redirect Issue

Dell / Latitude d410

Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 1.862 GHz / 2039 MB
I have had the Search Engine Redirect Issue but have run various tools over it to remove it, including ComboFix. I think that the virus has gone and can't see any thing in my Hijack Logs etc to show if anything remains. Can you please advise?

Following posts will include relevant logs.

Thanks very much,

Good luck with getting help. Rules state that you don't post hjt logs without a request from an expert.

Some HELP in posting on plus free progs and instructions Cheers

My apologies, I did look for a sticky that detailed rules earlier but couldn't find one. I've removed the logs now - fingers crossed I'll get the help I need. My confidence in using this machine for financial reasons is shattered at the mo!!

Next to Combofix you could also use Hitman Pro 3.5 to cure the TDL3 infections (which is responsible for the search engine redirect).

Hitman Pro 3.5 is a lot quicker and easier to use.
It comes with a 30 day free removal license.
