Search Engine Hijacked

February 2, 2010 at 04:41:46
Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Intel Core Duo E6850 @ 3.00 GHz/3.24 GB of RAM

I am having a problem with my Google or any Search engine redirecting itself. I can click on the links that are there and it redirects me after I click on them. I also get pop-up windows. I have run Malware and Spybot and it still does this. I cannot restore to a previous setpoint or start my system up in safe mode. What can I do to resolve this problem. Thanks for your help.

Here's a little VB6 browser I made that should let you get to sites again. It's not tied in to your system like IE/Firefox. http://jeffkastner.com/JeffsBrowser...
It's just a simple .exe and should allow you to go where you need and download what you need. The people at bleepingcomputer.com will get you the most help. Before them, I would just download the latest ad-aware and let it do a full scan (not a quick scan which is the default). It will take 5 to 8 hours... but will likely fix you up.

I tried using Ad aware and it did not find anything. I will check out bleepingcomputer.com as well. Any additional assistance here would be helpful as well.

Thanks.

Run hitman pro. It fixed mine after everything else couldn't.
