Although the processes seem to be fine and it is normal to have multiple svchost.exe's running, I am unsure whether they should appear there in capital letters.
In any case a screen shot of the task manager processes is not comprehensive enough to get a totally reliable assessment. Alot of malware disguise themselves as legitimate processes, and hidden processes won't show themselves.
Can I ask you why you might have concern, or are you just curious?
Ditto. All looks fine as far as current processes. Are you having problems and believe you may have a virus? Are you running an up-to-date antivirus program? If so, you should be fine.
The reason Im asking is I have had viruses and suspect ashAvSrv.exe to be a virus or Trojan.
Also I want to know what is wowexec.exe doing in my process, because in most pc its not showing up in the process.
Also I want to know what is NTVDM.EXE doing in my process, because in most pc its not showing up in the process.
Also I want to know why like you said why svchost.exe is in capital letters (does wether your using XP home or XP pro ,make this difference )?
I am both concerned and curiuos. I am running an anti virus, but the only problem I have with them is if you get a new one ,then the next day there could be 20 new viruses on the internet.
Paste the text into the blank box and click the "Analyze" button at the bottom of the page.
Here you will get a fair analsys of the processes running on your pc.
It is adviseable not to let hijackthis fix anything. Run a few scans if you find that there is some malware as hijackthis is a very powerful tool and used incorrectly can damage your system.
