School Computer Give Away Program

Specs: Windows XP Pro VL, Any

At our vocational school, which is a 2 year program. We want to issue students with there own laptop and after the 2 years and they completed the programs. We would like to sell them the computer for $50.

My issue is how would we go about Licenseing for Windows XP because we use VL. Also VL for Microsoft Office. The students will have to return the computer at the end of there 2 years to be wiped and installed with the computer COA.

The issue is the students that don't return them and drop out. I was thinking on using a web based Office. To solve that problem. But as far as the License for the OS how would I go about that? Is there a time License that would probibit the use of the OS after a certin period of time?

If anyone has any ideas please let me know. It would be appricated.

Have you thought about completly going with open source software like Unbuntu or Fedora running open office? No licencing issues.

Well a lot of our programs utilize the learing of microsoft office and so on. So using third party software with free license won't work.

Thanks for the feedback though.
