I don't know what's going on with my computer. Lots of "scanning message 1 of 1" pop ups from symantec, invading my task bar and making my machine slower. I suppose I've got a virus but don't know what kind and don't know how to get rid of it. I've run a full scan with Norton but doesn't show any problem. I need help, Thanks

Are you sending or receiving email when this message comes up?

Doesn't quite sound like a virus to me since you said the message (pop up) was from Norton. I would go back to the drawing board and take a look at your Norton settings first, especially since norton didn't detect anything. I know that doesn't mean much but!
