"LSA Shell [Export Version] encountered a problem....." error at startup.
"System shut down......C:\windows\system32\lsass.exe terminated unex....." after a short time on line.
Have run both Symantec and Microsoft v4 removal tool and nothing detected.
AVG and Trend Micro also found nothing but quite a lot of files access denied.
Is there something else about with these symptoms?

Hi I installed xp onto a clients computer last week, and this was the beginning of my probs. First, enable your firewall in xp go to your help on start menu and typr in firewall. XP has one built in you just have to turn it on. Go to www.moosoft.com and download the cleaner free 30 day trial. It is the only thing I found that found the actual prob and repaired the registry. It is geared specifically toward trojan horse. So maybe it will find whatever is possibly hiding the worm. Update it of course. Then close it and restart the program. Then run the scan. Maybe that will help. After you believe you got rid of all viruses download the XP updates. They are essential, because every person creating viruses has fond the old security holes and they continue to look for new ones.
If it doesn't work the 1st time try again and again.... the 3rd time find the tallest building around stand near a large window with a view.... Take a deep breath.. and drop the PC to it's death. LOL

Hi Tina,
Thanks for the info. Have bombarded it with removal tools and scoured the registry run but detected nothing. The symptome have however dissappeared!
Just as well 'cause no tall buildings around here.
