I've recently taken over a company domain and one of our workstations has a ton of programs loading at startup. I want to run MSConfig and remove some of the startup programs but the user doesn't have rights to do so. MSConfig says that you must be an admin to save changes.
I logged in as Admin (Domain admin from server) and ran MSConfig but it's showing me the startup programs for the administrator account and not for the user I need to change. How do I remove programs from the startup for that particular user? I've run REGEDIT and looked at all of the RUN and RUNONCE keys (/software/microsoft/windows/current version/run) and the items I see in MSConfig's startup tab are not listed there.
