So as you can tell, I've accidentally deleted my rundll32.exe file from my computer when I was having trouble getting rid of some spyware and malware that was attaching itself to rundll file-extension. I cleaned off all that stuff, now Ive lost those critical files.

I wasn't able to find any traces of rundll32 when I tried to restore it on my system so I need my install discs, but I cant find my windows install discs anywhere. I can only find my MSOffice discs which dont have what I need.

Im running XP on a 2005 Tablet PC edition.

I need it desperately to run windows updates/security stuff, open my control panel, and do other necessary things. Can anyone help me locate rundll32.exe anywhere else??

Thanks in advance,
Phil

Find a copy of rundll32.exe in folder c:\windows\system32\dllcache or in c:\windows\servicepackfiles\i386.
If you find this, go ahead and copy rundll32.exe to the system folder c\windows\system32.

Otherwise you need a windows disc to expand this file.

You can try to restore your computer in previous date.

Start > all programs > system tools > system restore > Restore on my computer in earlier date.

When you put your email address in open text on the internet the spammers engines find it and you get junk email forever. If Google can find it so can they.

Fine if you are already in that situation, not so good otherwise. Just in case, the best cure is to change your email address then never put it on the net again.

"I've been there" and used to get 120 junk emails a day. None for the last 2 years with new email address.

some other bloke...
