Hi everyone A computer at my work keeps getting a popup message every 5 seconds or so. The message reads:
RUNDLL
Error Loading
The specified module could not be found
It doesn't specify which file it can't find, which makes it a bit more difficult to get rid of.
I've run the XP System File Checker and installed Super Anti-Spyware and CCleaner and run them. The spyware program and AVG found a few trojans and removed them, but the annoying pop-ups are still there. What can I do next?
Have you run the spyware programs (MalwareBytes / Spybot / Hijackthis) and virus programs within safemode? Sometimes if you run them on the desktop, the viruses have a way of avoiding deletion, and you'll have to take the system into safe mode in order to completely rid the system of said malware.
I'll try running it in safe mode. Thanks for the suggestion.
