Hi guys. I took the advice from the posts and other articles from online and magazines and finally bought a hardware firewall, D-Link DI-604. Until now I have been using Zone Alarm 4.5 and all the online tests from grc, pcflank etc always gave me perfect stealth results.

Now that I installed the firewall, even thought I have Zone Alarm running, it shows on every online test that port 113 is open! Also, it is receiving ping packets!

I read a few articles online, and seems like quite a few ppl who have the di-604 have been having this problem with port 113. Should I go exchange it for Linksys or Netgear? Please help!!

How to stealth port 113 on a D-Link router.

There's nothing wrong with the router.

I personally think you bought a winner.

Hey Dave...thanks for the link. Yep now it shows port 113 as stealthed. But it still fails the ping test! Ugggh!

Also another stupid question. If I go to www.whatismyipaddress.com, shouldn't it be not showing my real ip address now that I'm using a firewall router? Not sure about that. Thanks!
