If you are not sure about a so-called spyware removal application, here is a good place to check:
The page is authored by Eric Howes, developer of IE-SPYAD. It lists 77 applications. "Rogue/Suspect" means that these products are of unknown, questionable, or dubious value as anti-spyware protection.
Unfortunately I noticed ads from Google AdSense here in this forum for some of the programs on the rogue list.
