If you are not sure about a so-called spyware removal application, here is a good place to check:

Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Programs

The page is authored by Eric Howes, developer of IE-SPYAD. It lists 77 applications. "Rogue/Suspect" means that these products are of unknown, questionable, or dubious value as anti-spyware protection.

Unfortunately I noticed ads from Google AdSense here in this forum for some of the programs on the rogue list.

A big thumbs up for Suzi `tis a good site to look at and see the crap on offer perporting to be spyware killers. I Aluria might have been there but it was not.
