I keep getting a message that my computer is infected with spyware, and that Windows will now take me to a site to download a program to remove it... I have instead downloaded AVG Anti-Spyware and run it, and deleted everything I could, yet still get the message.

It also says in a different message that my computer is making copies of files etc...

I also have no access to Control Panel, the properties of My Computer or the Date/Time function ... I get a message that it has been restricted and to contact the administrator (which is me as I only have one log in)

I can't get any other system details atm as they are 'restricted'.

Sounds like you are quite infested with spyware and probably a few viruses.
1-Which anti virus are you using?
2-Tap f8 on bootup and get into safe mode
It may sit on a data page for awhile...it may take from 2 minutes to even an hour before the safe mode page comes up...be patient, it will come up.

Once in safe mode, click start/run and type in msconfig. Then click on the start-up tab and uncheck everything Except your AV and firewall and then reboot to normal mode.
We'll start there....post back

Some HELP in posting on Cnet plus free progs and instructions
Hopefully my advice will help you...Please post back your result

This might have been virus protect pro, but AVG would have removed it, wouldn't it? Seems to be something serious if AVG did not help
