Comment: Hi; I've uninstalled AVG from my system, at least for the time being, and replaced with Avast. My e-mail still contains a line at the end of the signature: Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Version: 6.0.799 / Virus Database: 543 - Release Date: 11/19/2004 I can't seem to find a way to delete in Outlook Express. Any suggestions? Thanks! Swinny

Reply: I've removed AVG6 from a couple of boxes and it uninstalls relatively cleanly. But like 99% of software uninstalls, registry keys are left behind. Using a registry cleaner, type AVG into the Find window and start the utility. As I recall, AVG leaves behind about two or three dozen orphaned keys. Delete all of them. You could also remove them using the registry editor (regedit) in XP, but it will take an hour, and you'll probably miss a few keys in the bargain. Always, of course, backup the registry or make a System Restore point before you delete.
