Looktome? Zestyfind? Lagged Profile?
I have spent a few hours on this one; I thought I would post my fix. Of course I am sure there are others, but this one worked for me. I used a linux boot disk found here: http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html There are several which do the same thing, probably even easier since this one is geared for password changes and reg. edits. Knoppix would also work or any other live linux boot disk.
This disk has menu options, which you will not need for this job. Quit to the console, enter the scripts directory, run the disk.sh script to mount the partition, which holds the windows directory (it will say boot next to it). Once mounted your windows file system will show up in the /disk directory.
Here is the magic dll we needed to remove: (c:\windows\system32\bdotvid.dll)
rm /disk/windows/system32/bdotvid.dll
Once I removed this file & rebooted the machine into XP, my profile snapped right up (which was lagged big time because of the shotty programming from a no skilled hump of lard no doubt), no more looktome or zestyfind popups. Now we need to hunt down the people who wrote this and string them up by their toenails, make them listen to country & watch QVC\Home Shopping Network until they bleed out their eye lids!!!!
Good luck, you can get rid of it!
