Specs: Windows XP, 264
I am running Windows XP on a Dell Inspiron 600m. The C:\System Volume Information\restore with Win32/Opencandy and Win32RegistryBooster. Also, C:\Qoobox\ToOlbar32.dll.vir. I am unable to remove with virus program, only quarantine with ESET NOD32 anti virus. How do I successfully remove these viruses from my C drive and PC? Thank you.

louis hill,

Need to take a good look at your system...

Please download the latest version of OTL:

Save to the Desktop

XP: Double-click on the 'OTL' icon on your Desktop.

Check: 'Scan All Users'

Click the 'Run Scan' button.

When done, two reports open:
-Extra.txt: is minimized to the TaskBar

Please provide them in your reply. However, you will need to upload these reports:

Go to the ‘Uploading’ website:

In: Select files to upload, click 'Browse', and 'Look in' the Desktop.
Select the DDS.txt report, and click on 'Open'
You will see the following:
“Your file has been uploaded successfully: (Name and size of the file)”

Please copy the 'Download link', and provide it in your reply.

Do the same with the Attach.txt.

FYI: OTL is just a diagnostic tool. It does no harm, but provides information for us to work with.

Just for info:

I am in the UK and "Talk-Talk" is my server. It prevents access to the OTL link given, saying the website is suspected of having a virus. Most likely this is a false positive (ie it is perfectly safe).

I can override the blocking but just thought I should mention it in case you run into the same problem.....
