Folks, I'm not sure where to post this, so I thought this might the most appropriate forum. A friend of a friend is going through a Divorce, and she's not taking the "shared" computer with her when she leaves the residence. I've been asked for advice on how to remove any data she may have on the computer.

I admit I don't have much information. What I'm looking for is a program that will clean up data.

With the limited information I have, and have provided, does anyone have any recommendations for any software removal programs that she can (as a novice user) install and run? Something hopefully very simple and straight-forward..

I'm unable to contact this person directly (for several reasons), so I hope I can get some good suggestions here. I much appreciate any help you can give me.

If email is a good method of contact, please feel free to email me. Thanks...

Life's more painless for the brainless.

Get rid of the lot with Darik's Boot And Nuke (DBAN), it may seem overkill though...
