Can't install McAfee VirusScan Plus because it detects Ad-Aware SE Personal on my PC. Except I removed it through the Add/Remove process in XP. Company not responding to my post. Any ideas on how to completely remove this ?

While I don't share your enthusiasms for McAfee over Ad-Aware, I will refer you to this page with the hope that you will actually read everything there is to read.
IMHO McAfee & Symantec are two of the worst resources for anyone who want to maintain a happy & unstressed PC.

Amen, brother XpUser. I tried them and they literally suck. I'm not even too keen on Norton, either. I have tried a lot of programs, both free and for-pay, and for my money it's hard to beat Ad-Aware and AVG, both free.

AVG has a new engine that's available right now and Ad-Aware updates almost daily.

A positive attitude won't solve all your problems, but it will annoy just enough people to be worth the effort.
