Remotely waking up laptop

Microsoft Windows vista business 64-bit
June 8, 2010 at 22:36:12
Specs: Windows Vista
If someone was remotely using my laptop (lets say using WakeupLAN (WOL) or other such tech), how would I know?

Would my physical laptop lights (such as the power button and others) be switched on at that time? Would my screen by 'live'? Could I see what was going on on my screen? Would I hear my hard drive 'whirring' like normal?

Basically, is there any way to tell? And what if the laptop lid is switched off?

WOL is Wake On Lan. If someone had used that option to access your computer, you would know it because the computer would power on.

Disable Wake on Lan in the BIOS.
