registry failure

I keep getting systemroot\system32\config\security when I try to restore my computer and I don't have an xp disk because mine came with backup on my d driver. I need help fixing my issue please.

I know you said you DON'T have an XP install disc BUT;

instead of going through lots of reading if your time is limited, Try to borrow an xp install disc from friends. Don't forget Pro=Pro and Home =Home, you cannot mix and match:

I do not have anyone I can borrow one from. I am going to try and format my driver to see if that fixes the problem.

I tried that already and it did not work. I am only hoping that reformatting the driver will fix it.
