I just downloaded and installed the free program RegSupreme, recommended by MajorGeeks.com. I ran the program and came up with 451 registry 'errors'. Is it safe to actually remove them all? I've created a system restore point, will that be enough if something important gets deleted? Thanks!

They should be safe to remove, but just in case you need to restore some of the entries, ensure you allow the program to create a backup of all deleted items.
If there is no side effects to the deleted entries after about 60 days, you can delete the backup.

Hi.
I would emphasize Sabertooth's point about making sure a backup is created. Many registry cleaner programs have that feature enabled by default. But check to make sure!
The registry cleaner that I rely on is Ace Utilities. You have to pay for it after the trial period expires. It's worked great for me.

Try Advanced System Optimizer 2.01 or Fix-It Utilities 5. I find that these are the best at cleaning your registry

My personal opinion, dont mess with the registry or any program that "cleans" the registry. It won't increase performance enough to make a difference, and you are at high risk of damaging your operating system or programs, escpecially if you know little about the program or the registry. If you are expierencing system slow down, run defrag, anti-spyware, anti-virus, and startup control panel (www.freeware.com)
