Comment: Hi, I have this program which is slowing down the computer. I deleted it couple of times but it keeps coming back. I looked it up on the internet and I found out that i need to delete its registry file from REGEDIT. My questions is , If i delete a file from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and that key is NOT needed to run windows would i be doing any harm to my windows? ~vdaves

Reply: (edit)More info is needed. There is no way we can answer your question without first knowing what program & registry key you are talking about. i_Xp/VistaUser

Reply: (edit)Firstly, XPUser is right. Which program is it? Secondly, the Registry doesn't contain files, so you're better off not making any changes to it until you gain a better understanding of what it does, contains, and how it functions. :) Life's more painless for the brainless.
