Let say we have some lan! On XP and W98SE I workstations the VBS/Redlof.A virus was removing by:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run the value
SYSTEM\Kernel32.dll or SYSTEM\Kernel.dll
Also removed all files *.htt, desktop.*, and running f-prot it seems the virus removed. But on a Workstation with W98, after same removal the virus persist in WINDOWS\HISTORY directory and some other 2 files!
Does anybody know some klever removal tools. For ex. panda software has one:pqremove.com but it seems this only know to erase tha registry key I mentioned above! Unfortunately on symantec and other av programs I did not find some removal tools!
