Redirect virus in both browsers

July 6, 2012 at 09:10:51
Specs: Windows XP
Hello there - I have been reading through everything on these forums but wanted someone to look at my scan logs specifically. I didn't want to run combofix without assistance. Both browsers redirect to click-get-answers-fast - among other urls. I run Malware Bytes repeatedly - in Safe Mode and out of SafeMode. I have GFI Vipre enterprise software as well. I just ran Superantispyware as well and removed trojan (Zugu) there. I ran the dds and here is my report below. I would appreciate your help.

There may be multiple reason for Google Redirect Virus....

Trojan.Zeroaccess.B & Trojan.gen.2 is the latest one causing Google Redirection Virus.

Another one is a Happili Virus If your computer is infected with Happili Redirection virus the Google and yahoo Search will redirect to a website called Happili

Check this 2 and Let me know the status....

Hi Transl8it,

Welcome to the Dell Community,

With reference to your post regarding browser redirection in both browsers, I would suggest you to run a Hitman Pro scan and a Spybot Search and Destroy Scan.

1. Please go to the following link to download Hitman Pro:
http://download.cnet.com/HitmanPro-...

2. Please go to the following link to download Spybot Search and Destroy:
http://www.filehippo.com/download_s...

Please make sure you restart the computer after completing each scan.

Please let us know if this helps.

Thanks & Regards
