re-direct blocked using google

Specs: Windows XP
I have just removed a Trojan from my PC using AVG and Webroot. The initial problem was that I was getting a message on start up saying a dll was missing.

This message and the Trojan have now gone.

My only query now is that when I use google and do a search it wants to go to a doubleclick site. Is this just the webrooter doing a good job or is there still something lurking on my system trying to redirect me to dodgy sites?

Also the test I’ve done seem to have removed and cleansed my system 99%. There are just 3-4 registry issues. Again I’m uncertain whether this would affect my system.

Before I installed webrooter I wasn't being redirected to any site. This is why I get the feeling that Webrooter is just doing its job. I haven't clicked 'don't show this again' when webrooter flags it up.

What I will do is check in hidden devices and see if TDSSserv is in there and disable it.

If not will try and download TDSSkiller and use spyware remover.
