As well as my C drive, I also have a D drive, where I park unused programs e.g. X-plane which occupied about 27GB.
I normally just zap those programs which I decide are not only unused but are now obsolete.
But this time round I decided to BC wipe as well x-plane ( I have a newer version ).
Then I discovered that BC wipe each time I start the PC pops up on the desktop to announce it is still wiping in a directory called RECYCLER.
Looking into the D Dir list, I find I have another directory called Recycled.... which contains two zero size sub dirs
S-1-5-21-1801674531-1960408961-839522115-1003
S-1-5-21-854245398-776561741-839522115-1003That they are empty is not true because BC wipe informs as it goes along on the actual operation and I am seeing xplane files names as the current wipe targets.
Also when I run Treesize on the C: HD, It tells me that all the directories have an owner called
S-1-5-21-1801674531-1960408961-839522115-1003.All except two:-
Windows and another directory I had never noticed before called
a3b863c2e230523d9a596870.
This contains two subdirectories called
AMD64 and i386Have I got a virus?
Can anyone clarify?
Thanks
Fred
