Recurring Virus, cant find root, help

December 29, 2011 at 03:32:39
Specs: Windows 7
I have a recurring virus that when I delete it, it just comes back after an hour or two, and when I end the process in task manager, it starts running again anywhere from 30seconds to 5 minutes later.

Here are screenshots of the virus, the location in my computer, and what it shows up like in task manager.

What slows me down on trying to figure this thing out, but may help you help me, is that it will run even in Safe Mode with Networking.

Any help on this thing would be great, thanks in advance.

Additional Detail: After deleting the virus, and it returns, it comes back with a different name.

I know that one, I had to remove it from a clients machine no more than a couple weeks ago.

Go onto and download the program Spybot - Search and Destroy, install it and update it and run it. From there, go into your temp folder, C:\Users\you\AppData\Local\Temp, delete everything in that Temp folder. If something is currently being used, see what it is and ignore it/stop the process if need be and remove it.

When you run Spybot, check your processes, make sure the trojan is currently listed as you have in your screenshots.

Also, what antivirus are you using?

Here are some tips to temporarily get your computer back:
1. If when you try to run a program, and a window pops up saying its unsafe, right-click the program (or shortcut) and click "Run as administrator..."
2. To permanently fix the problem when starting programs, download a .EXE Registry Fix. It can be found here:
