Random re-directs from google links

December 5, 2010 at 13:01:29
Specs: Windows Vista
Recently when I click on a link in google, I'm redirected to random sites. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does I'm unable to go back on myself. I've run both my McAfee and Malwarbytes with no results, and I'm currently running a second Malwarebytes scan. If it doesn't detect anything what should my next step(s) be? Thanks.

Usually google redirect virus comes along with TDSS rootkit. If you have already tried malwarebytes antimalware with no results, also try spybot and superantispyware. Both are free and does a great job at detecting and removing spyware. Download links could be found at http://www.pcrisk.com/top-spyware-r... If both programs doesn't find any infections you should try TDSSKiller developed by Kaspersky Labs. Download link http://support.kaspersky.com/viruse... If after all these steps you are still being redirected you could check some setting manually. Instructions could be found at http://www.pcrisk.com/removal-guide...
