Dear group:
Several years ago there was a Dr. Who FAQ version 17.x that talked about using several programs for internet anonimity. I need help remembering the names. I believe two of them were ProxyChecker and SocksChain.
I remember one program looked up about 1000 proxy servers. Then you import the list into ProxyChecker to find the socks5 servers and then there was another program that tested to see what servers were actually online. I cant remember then name of this one. Does anyone know?
Then finally there was a program that you used to route your traffic through that gave you a different IP address. Once it was set up I could start IE and check my IP address from a website and it would be different from my real IP address. Does anyone know the name of that program?
I know the names of two of the programs but not the other two.
This info is in an older copy of Dr. Who FAQ. It was around version 17.x. I think it was 17.1.
Unfortunately the new version of Dr. Who FAQ talks about using Mozilla Firefox, tor, and Privoxy for internet anonimity.
I want to do it the old way.
Does anyone know what I can do to get the names of these other programs from the older copy of Dr. Who FAQ from several years ago?
Thanks for any help!
kerry
