It should ask you if you want to view the log upon completion of said Malware scan.....

Doesn't AVG have a Virus Vault where it quarantines files?

The trojan should be in there.

If you go to the TaskBar at the bottom of you screen and click the AVG icon, its USER interface should appear. Select the Virus Vault option from the History menu.

You can select any file you wish to delete, and click on the Delete button.
