I recently got the w32magistr virus. Norton got rid of it and fixed all the infected files except two - sage.exe and fixmapi.exe - which it quarantined. Now every time I start my computer 2 error windows come up - "Bad Command Line Format" and "setup is unable to find installation languages in C:\windows\setup.LID file Error 105".
I can close these two windows and my computer starts fine and seems to be working ok. What are the purpose of these quarantined files and where can I find replacements. It's annoying for these 2 windows to pop up every time. Thanks

Frank,
You can find replacements in your .CAB's. sage.exe is in WIN_17.CAB and fixmapi.exe is in WIN_16.CAB
Just Extract each one to where it's needed.
Right-click on the .CAB, then click Explore. In the right hand side. Find your file and right-click it. Then click Extract. It will ask you where to put the files. Tell it where. Or use the
System Configuration Utility tool.

Thanks S.T.A.R. I tried the extracting from .CAB's and it went fine. I restarted my computer but the same 2 error windows still come up. As I said before my computer seems to be working ok even with these error messages. It may be that when Norton fixed the other corrupted files it did or changed something. These error windows are more of a nuisance than anything else. Thanks again for the suggestion.
