Comment:

I recently visited a web site where I contracted a virus called JS/PSYME. I was notified by AVG 6.0 antivirus s/w that I was infected but the free copy of the antivirus s/w could not remove the Trojan. I am currently experiencing an inability to launch my MS Explorer 6.0, and I have not logged off of my pc for fear of not being able to boot back up. The virus is currently residing in: C:WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files\CONTENT.IE5\C9X01J06\SECURE~1.PHP. How do I remove the virus without messing with the reg edit (since I'm not too familiar with fooling with the registry. Someone please help me. Thanks in advance.

You should be able to remove it by first going offline, close all windows, right click on the IE icon on desktop, select properties, on the general tab select delete files, check delete all offline content, click ok. Next click the clear history button, ok the prompt.
By doing that you are just deleting temporary internet files which is where the virus is.
Run AVG again just to be sure.

When you try running IE..what happens? any error messages?
