Hi!
The new virus IRC.worm.gen is on an PST file, norton av put it in Quarantine, because it can not repair it, i want to restore the file so i can delete the virus from the pst file, but, i repaired it and obviously when i opened Outlook 2000, a warning from norton 2002 showed up, and (because it lock all other windows) i put again to store the pst file on quarantine, norton and everything (outlook, windows 98) hangs up.
I reboot it, but the pst file isn't in Quarantine (the program from norton) i looked and it is on Quarantine\Incoming.
I try to open the pst file stored in "incoming" folder but outlook does not recognize, i try to "re add" the pst manually from Quarantine program and restore it, but outlook won't recognize it too. What should i do??, should i try with inbox repair tool?
thanks!
Andres

Hi
A friend of mine had a similar problem, he opened the PST with the Exchange mail client which didn't have the preview pane on, deleted the mail, then re-opened the PST with Outlook.
Don't know if it's too late for you to try this but it's an idea...
To be honest, Outlook's default settings are a virus writer's ideal target. I hate it.
